A huge thank you to all our clients, colleagues and friends for making 2018 – our 10th year – the most successful yet.
We enjoyed a bumper batch of building completions from socially rich housing and retirement living schemes to vibrant enterprise and community facilities. A record awards season followed, featuring 5 buildings and RCKa’s second Housing Design Award. We also received some amazing client and industry feedback with two best-selling schemes and a glowing building study, which concluded that we need more buildings like RCKa’s if we are to have any hope of solving the housing crisis!
Exciting new commissions for the City of London and Isle of Wight Council expanded our masterplan and commercial sector success, whilst ongoing research into wellbeing looks set to enrich our future work and post-occupancy analysis. The team braved storms in Paris on our research trip, built an engagament folly for the LFA and a psychedelic gingerbread nightclub that can be seen at the V&A until the new year.
Reflecting at our 10th anniversary party on our journey so far, we concluded that together we really can make a positive difference to people’s lives, it just takes courage and conviction – a worthy new year’s resolution if ever there was one.
