RCKa has been crowned winner of the inaugural Social Impact Award at this year’s Architect of the Year Awards, organised by Building Design mazagine.
The social impact category was included in this year’s programme to recognise those practices which make a tangible difference to the quality of people’s lives, including end users and the wider community.
In their citation, the judges praised RCKa’s range of projects, “all of which showcased RCKa’s commitment to creating sustainable places supporting social value in the community while celebrating the uniqueness of their clients and users.”
Social value has been a fundamental part of the practice since it was established in 2008, and we are delighted to have our passion for creating places for communities and individuals to thrive recognised with such a prestigious award.
