Planning submitted for Knaphill infill scheme

Planning application submitted for four contemporary terraced houses on constrained town centre site.

Our scheme for this infill site in Knaphill, Woking, will provide a terrace of four cleverly-designed family homes in a suburban town centre location. The new houses repair an existing gap in the streetscape whilst respecting the height and form of neighbouring homes. To encourage activity on the street we have introduced south-facing courtyards at the front of each house onto which the kitchens open, and a carefully-shaped roof minimises overshadowing of the north-facing rear gardens.

This project is the practice’s first for developer Thameswey. We have recently been appointed to a second scheme in Woking on behalf of the same client.
