At a ceremony held at the RIBA on 4th June, RCKa and Camden Council’s proposals for the redevelopment of Highgate Newtown Community Centre were highly commended in the 2019 Planning Awards. The scheme was shortlisted in two categories; the other being Best Use of Publicly-Owned Land.
RCKa was appointed to the project in 2014, and following extensive community engagement received planning permission for a new community centre and public square, together with 41 apartments, in late 2018.
The prestigious annual award celebrates excellence in planning and placemaking.
