RCKa’s Tony Staples, along with Benedetta Rogers, Matthew Eberhard and Lucy Paton, has self-published ‘Echoes Of Accra’, an illustrated book that documents research undertaken in March 2016 in Accra, Ghana. The work featured in an exhibition at the Doomed Gallery in Dalston as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2016.
Research was largely collected by sound recordings of the city and its people. When heard together, they tell the broader narratives about the communities and people who live and work in the city.
The book is accessible online as a PDF, and is available for sale at the RIBA, AA Bookshops and the Whitechapel Gallery. All of the sound recordings and interviews used to inform the research, exhibition and book are also available to listen to on SoundCloud.
